About Bob Hickman 

Born in Kingston upon Thames in Surrey, England, Bob spent his childhood in the UK and Melbourne, Australia. He has a Bachelors of Art (Honours) at Loughborough College of Art and Design, majoring in print-making/painting and History of Art.

Bob teaches adult Painting classes and workshops in printmaking and basic pottery in his Koonwarra studio / gallery also known as the Artists Quarter. Bob also exhibits in Meeniyan, Foster, Wonthaggi and Station Gallery Yarragon. A new venture has kicked off with Bob’s Paint Party for private group functions where people learn to paint a canvas while enjoying the company of friends with food and drink. To learn

Bob has exhibited paintings, sculptures and prints in the UK and Australia and now offers shipping worldwide. His artworks hang in both private and public collections in England, France and Australia.

Bob’s more recent work encompasses his wonderment and intrigue at what lies within our cities laneways.
The graffiti strewn laneways, their weathered facades with peeling posters and discarded crates present a myriad of possibilities for creative interpretation. A sinister, surreal and enticing landscape hidden away behind the bustling thoroughfares of our modern metropolis .Truly a place of light and shade in every sense.
